Friends and family on the canal . . . . Our "racing" friends, Tony and Sue Smith, joined Rose Anne and 264 other participants in the "Race for World Water" 5K last Saturday on the canal in downtown Indy! This is our favorite running/walking venue and proved to be a fast track Saturday as Rose Anne set a "personal best" with an 11:54 pace per mile! Granddaughter Ella , my son Mike, and I rooted them on in the cool, sunny, perfect conditions! Ella thought it would be cool to run with grandpa in the future and noticed a few participants in her age group she thought she could beat! We definitely will miss our frequent runs and walks on the canal and seeing good friends!
